# Welcome to the Authentication Provider SAML Documentation!

4App Authentication Provider SAML lets the 4ALLPORTAL access an identity management using the SAML protocol. This allows to log in to the 4ALLPORTAL using a user's identity stored centrally in the identity management (e.g. in Microsoft ADFS). This is not only faster, but also more secure.

When logging in to the 4ALLPORTAL for the first time, the data stored for a user in the identity management is used to automatically create or update a user in the 4ALLPORTAL.

After installation, two new admin snap-ins to configure the Service Provider (SP) and the Identity Provider(s) (IDP) are available.

# Supported Identity Providers

The application has been tested with the following Identity Providers:

  • Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
  • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Keycloak
  • SSOCircle

Other Identity Providers based on the SAML protocol are possible.
