# Welcome to Extended Search Documentation!
4App Extended Search enhances the default search behavior of the 4ALLPORTAL by four components. It:
- highlights filled search input field
- highlights the search result count with active search filters
- activates the real time search by default
- allows a user to choose the search comparator for each search input (if configured, no default configuration)
After installation, you must specify the configuration of your search renderer.
4App Move
The features of 4App Extended Search are part of 4App Core Engine from Core version 4.0.
If you work with Core Engine version 4.0 or higher, you do not require to install this 4App.
