Welcome to the Raw-File-Hash Documentation!

The 4App Raw-File-Hash provides a file processor to generate a raw hash of DAM image files. This raw hash is required to identify image files with identical content (not metadata). It can be used if the DAM's file hash (which considers metadata) is not sufficient (details).

Image files with the same raw file hash are considered identical. So a raw file hash can be used for a duplicate search (configuration guide).

After installation, new fields rhash and rhash_sec are available in module "Files". New file processor rawfilehash automatically generates these fields' content for all supported image files.
