Note on individualization: If your 4ALLPORTAL is highly customized or if you installed individual apps, please contact your implementation partner before upgrading. We recommend checking your custom contents, especially layouts and object renderers, carefully after an upgrade.

New Features and Improvements

Welcome Screen

A welcome screen now appears at login. It supports structured onboarding through persona and proficiency selection, as well as basic personal settings, such as language, timezone, and theme, as seen in the user profile.
The screen will reappear at regular intervals, allowing users to update their information. This data enables us to provide personalized onboarding information and helps us improve the system according to the needs of all target groups.
Please note: Users can only continue if they have made valid entries. Interrupted setups will trigger the welcome screen again at the next login.

Technical Changes & Admin Instructions

Audit for Role Configurations

Changes made in the role configuration modules, ce_role and ce_role_accs, are now audited by default. These changes can be checked in the database if necessary.

Event Management: Preview Changes

We have added support for PreviewChangeEvent. This allows the system to publish and track events whenever preview-related modifications occur.
Developers can now subscribe to these events to trigger custom logic or UI updates when a preview is generated or updated.

Change Events Forwarding

We have implemented a new mechanism to forward Core Engine change events to 4ALLPORTAL Cloud services. This prepares for future features, such as natural language search. It is currently still disabled.

Solved Bugs

• Fix the disappearing "More menu" button from the module bar in a reduced browser window
• Fix the unreliably loading and assigning of object type specific renderers
• Fix charset for MySQL by setting default CHARSET=utf8mb4 COLLATE=utf8mb4_0900_ai_ci to allow 4-byte UTF-8 for new tables and columns
• Fix the erroneous field validation applied to invisible or inactive field renderers (e.g., inactive by logic)
