Note on individualization: If your 4ALLPORTAL is highly customized or if you installed individual apps, please contact your implementation partner before upgrading. We recommend checking your custom contents, especially layouts and object renderers, carefully after an upgrade.

Technical Changes & Admin Instructions

Protection for the "4ALLPORTAL Support" Role

The Essentials-specific Delete and Edit actions on user objects now also protect the new 4ALLPORTAL Support role: administrators can no longer edit or delete a support user, the respective actions are hidden for them (mirrors the Core Engine change). The Edit action additionally gains the installation-admin protection it was previously missing. No action required for standard installations.

Admin instruction: If you override the user module's del.xml or edit.xml in a custom app, that custom file takes precedence over the Essentials version and will mask this change. In that case add the protection condition to your custom file so support (and installation admin) users cannot be edited or deleted: extend the type condition to not in [installation_admin, fourallportal_support].
