4App File Approval Workflow provides a workflow action for the DAM that manages the approving of locked files: Locked files that are not allowed to download for a user can be provided after the approval of a defined person. For this, an approving task is created automatically. Requesting and approving persons are informed about a request's status via e-mails.

File Approval Workflow action "start_approval_workflow" is also required to configure digital rights permission type "Locked (approval)" in the DAM (configuration details).

After installation, admin snap-in DAM/Approval configuration is available for the configuration of approving person(s) and the templates used in the workflow e-mails (configuration details).
For the approving task, new task statuses and fields are available.

Supported Core and DAM Versions

The 4App File Approval Workflow is supported starting from Core and DAM versions 3.5. For higher versions, please consider the release notes.
