Plugin Split From DAM
The 4ALLPORTAL Indesign Plugin has been part of 4App Digital Asset Management until DAM version 4.0. With DAM version 4.0, the InDesign Plugin becomes a separate 4App.
# New Features and Improvements
# Compatibility with DAM Version 4.0+
This release adds compatibility with Core and DAM 4.0. Core/DAM versions below 4.0 do not require the InDesign Plugin as a separate 4App.

# Installation on Server
The InDesign plugin will only work if the 4App is installed on the same server as the 4ALLPORTAL.
# Removed Object-type "indesign" from DAM
From DAM's module "Files", type "indesign" was removed from the object-type specific metadata renderer. Fields file_analysis_status, indesign_lock, and indesign_lock_until are now part of 4App Indesign Plugin.
Possible impact: If you open InDesign documents, object-type specific field "InDesign status" (file_analysis_status) will not be displayed without an installed 4App Indesign Plugin.
What to do: If you used the Indesign plugin before 4.0, you need to install 4App InDesign Plugin and reinstall your plugin locally. To consider field "InDesign status" in your object-type specific metadata renderer, you need to add type "indesign" to the object-type config.xml manually (more details).
