# Logging and error monitoring

The 4ALLPORTAL comes with several in app logging tools to help you monitoring and analysing background processes. You find them in the administration area in our snap-in group Protocol overview. All Core Engine snap-ins are described here (opens new window). In case you need to get in contact with our support team, these snap-ins provide you with the necessary information for error fixing.

The following describes the default configuration of the snap-in. For customizing snap-ins, take a look here (opens new window).

# File transfer

For a File transfer monitoring go to Administration area/Protocol overview/File transfer.

This snap-in displays the same list as the actual module File transfer. It provides an overview of the transfers all system users performed (successfully as well as unsuccessfully):

  • uploads
  • eTickets
  • download packages
  • downloads
  • quick downloads
  • pdf overviews

Each log record gives you the following information:

  • status (in progress / successful / failed)
  • transfer date
  • type of transfer
  • user name (= sender)
  • receiver
  • subject (only detail view)
  • validity (only detail view)

Resending: Download packages and eTickets can be sent / shared or added to the shopping cart again via the toolbox.

Deleting: If you delete the entry of a still valid download link or eTicket here, it will no longer be accessible.
