# Solve conflicts while copying and moving files in the DAM

The handling of files in the Files module has been upgraded with a conflict manager. Up to now, you only got a notification if there were any conflicts with already existing files with the same file name while copying or moving files to another folder. Yet there were no options to solve these conflicts.

Now, the handling also includes a solution for these conflicts while uploading. If there are any conflicts with already existing files while copying or moving files to a new folder, a popup window will open up to give you options to solve the conflict.

All files without conflicts will continue to copy or move to the target folder in the background.

# Product improvement – Hiding the upload folder in collections

The Upload folder (Object Renderer) in collections is now displayed and hidden depending the status of "Allow upload to collections".

Example: If the upload to the collection is allowed, the upload folder is shown

# Verification required – we changed the configuration of the object renderer for the metadata field "InDesign plugin status"

The object renderer for the metadata field "InDesign Plugin status" (file_analysis_status.xml) has been moved as a Change to a separate object renderer configuration.

Due to this change, the metadata field "InDesign Plugin status" is now only visible in the Detail View of files of the type .indd and .idml. Before this change, this was possible for all file types.

In the case of customization The upgrade with this Change may return the metadata field "InDesign Plugin status" to the first group-renderer, even if it has been removed from the templates of metadata fields via customizing. Please check this case after the upgrade.

# File transfer cleanup

Now the folder "Filetransfer" is automatically cleaned up by the system. The file system of the 4ALLPORTAL installation is no longer overloaded by temporary files created during download. This reduces disturbances and manual cleanup efforts of the file transfer are avoided. Also the cleanup of the preview derivatives in the folder CEFS is now performed with the final deletion of objects via the module-dependent admin snapin "Deleted Items".

Overview:

  • Folder CEFS: Cleanup of the preview derivatives with the final deletion of an object via "Deleted Items" (If entry in database for object "deleted" = 1)

  • Duration of automatic cleanup not configurable

  • Remove empty "links" subpanels in file detail view on the left side
  • Fix Sometimes linked images in InDesign document will not be represented in 4ALLPORTAL when another linked file cannot be found anymore.
  • Fix Sometimes InDesign documents do not get closed by InDesign plugin when an error occurs while file analysis
  • Fixed an issue that caused the InDesign File Analysis execution status not to be set to done/complete (1) when save of InDesign documents is prevented in the InDesign plugin.
  • Fix tile view of "linked files" in file detail view
  • Fix slow conditional operations in shares
  • Fix failed condition operations when there are no active mounts
  • Introduce the new field indesign_lock_until to limit lock duration of InDesign documents. Per default, an InDesign document will be locked for four hours until the lock gets invalid.
