# DAM Release 4.2

# New Features and Improvements

# Folder-based Tagging and Import Tagging

We restructured the menus of the folder-based tagging and import tagging. They are more clear now, and better show e.g., that the selected import tagging template is only a non-editable preview. The tagging options are accessible via a folder's properties.

We added the option to search in an eTicket's gallery. Receivers of the link can thus search the contents provided for them.
Please note: Per default, the search is configured to search for filenames. If required, the search renderer can be customized (modules/file/object_renderer/search/share_eticket/default.4aprenderer).

# Advanced Image Editing

We have extended the image editing options: Users can now also define Colorspace (e.g., RGB) and Colorprofile (e.g., sRGB) via a dropdown. Additionally, we now support parameter fileFormat. Users can thus convert an image to another file type (e.g., JPG to PNG).
The default values are always the values of the original file.

# New "Custom" Download Profile

We added new default download profile "Custom", which is connected to the image editor. If selected, e.g., for a quick download, the image editor opens in a pop-up. Before downloading, the selected image can thus be adapted for the intended use and edited accordingly.
Please note: An upscaling of the original file is not possible.
Please note: This download profile is only allowed if "Original" is available for a user, too.

# "Custom" Profile for eTickets

Download profile "Custom" can also be selected in the shopping cart for eTickets. For images with this profile, external downloaders also get the image editing options to edit the image as they need before downloading.
Please note: In the shopping cart, profile "Custom" is only supported for eTickets. If users want to download images that have been assigned this profile some other way, profile "Custom" is either ignored (if at least one other profile has been selected) or replaced with derivate "large".

# Further Improvements

  • Color and star markings: We slimmed down the color and star search field renderers to drop-down menus, making them more space efficient.
  • Images: We added alpha indicator for default file simple renderer image.
  • Images: We now support the import and export of format image/avif.
  • Color Profiles: For the advanced image editing, we added three value options filetransfer_<rgb|cmyk|gray>_profiles. They automatically consider the color profiles in folder global/icc which can be supplemented with custom profiles, if required.
  • Markups: For boxes, also single sides can now be resized. Lines can be resized in general now.
  • Archive handling: We now also support and extract ZIP files that contain a data descriptor and files that were not compressed.
  • Change history: We added the tab "Change history" to modules review, review_item and filetransfer

# Solved Bugs

  • Fix display of download profiles in collection detail view
  • Fix untranslated label key of upload error message
  • Fix the moving and resizing of markup options "box" and "line". It now works again.
  • Disable file markup buttons for unsupported file types
  • Fix keyboard navigation for sliding list in file detail view
  • Fix hide "add to shopping cart" operation in module f_collection if shopping cart is deactivated for the current role
  • Fix ignoring empty metadata when importing (image) files. Empty metadata is now deleted in the database accordingly.
  • Fix not working download of objects from module f_collection (required for 4App Download Collections)
  • Fix allowing uploads if required import tagging template was missing. If a defined import tagging template is not available for a user, their upload is now aborted.
  • Fix missing tooltips of the folder pretagging view
